xAI co-founder quits!
🚨 Our Report
Igor Babuschkin, co-founder of Elon Musk’s AI start-up, xAI, has announced he’s leaving the company to continue his mission to develop “AI that’s safe and beneficial to humanity.”
🔓 Key Points
Babuschkin, who built and led xAI’s engineering team, is starting his own company—Babuschkin Ventures—to support AI safety research and back start-ups that aim to “advance humanity.”
He was inspired to start Babuschkin Ventures after discussing how AI systems could be built safely to help future generations flourish with the founder of The-Future-of-Life Institute, Max Tegmark.
Despite his shock exit, he revealed he has “learned two priceless lessons from Musk: #1 to be fearless in rolling up your sleeves to personally dig into technical problems and #2 to have a maniacal sense of urgency.”
🔐 Relevance
This comes after xAI recently went through weeks of scandal and public backlash after releasing an upgraded version of its chatbot, Grok, which was citing Musk’s personal opinions when answering controversial questions, going on antisemitic rants, and generating semi-nude videos of public figures. This somewhat overshadowed Groks strong performance when compared to industry benchmarks.
Googling a name can reveal more than expected
Data brokers sell personal info—often for less than a dollar.
What’s publicly available:
Current & past addresses
Mobile numbers (even outdated ones)
Family connections
Employment history
Property records
Court documents
This information is bundled and sold to anyone willing to pay. Even ChatGPT can return surprising details when asked about someone with an online presence.
This isn’t paranoia—it’s probability:
1 in 4 Americans experience identity theft
$1,100 average loss per incident
Over 200 hours to recover
Manually opting out of data brokers is exhausting—195+ forms, 30+ hours, and records often reappear.
Incogni automates the process:
✅ Contacts data brokers
✅ Forces data deletion
✅ Monitors & re-removes data

How AI sped up problem-solving for this firm
Provider of plumbing fixtures, Symmons, found identifying leaks, abnormal water patterns, and inefficiencies across its systems slow and costly.
Its current processes required manual checks, which increased downtime, resource waste, and maintenance costs.
It built an AI water monitoring platform which detected anomalies, predicted system failures, and gave contextualized recommendations.
As a result, it reduced wasted water and maintenance costs and sped up problem solving, removing the need for specialist expertise.

Earlier this week, Musk accused Apple of giving (its partner) OpenAI preferential treatment over xAI, claiming Apple has made it "impossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach #1 in the App Store."
Apple has responded, insisting that the App Store "is designed to be fair” and features apps “through algorithmic recommendations, and curated lists selected by experts using objective criteria.
Not only that, but several users have highlighted that other apps—such as DeepSeek and Perplexity—have managed to secure top spots in the App Store, completely refuting Musk’s accusations.

After announcing that it would give the US government access to its AI models for $1, Anthropic has revealed that it has acquired most of the team behind Humanloop, a prompt management platform.
All three of Humanloop’s UK-based co-founders—CEO Raza Habib, CTO Peter Hayes, and CPO Jordan Burgess—have all joined Anthropic, alongside around a dozen engineers and researchers.
Humanloops' experience in “AI tooling and evaluation will be invaluable as we continue to advance our work in building useful AI systems,” and could help Anthropic secure a lead over key rivals, OpenAI, and Google.
