TOGETHER WITH INNOVATING WITH AI
Secure, private AI for confidential work – at 1% the cost of the Big Tech models
The documents where AI would help most — contracts, client records, financials, HR files — are usually the ones you can’t send to a public AI provider. So the biggest wins stay manual, or your team uses AI anyway on terms you don’t like.
Innovating with AI builds private AI on today’s best open models, with zero data retention on U.S. or Canadian servers, or entirely on your own computers for your most confidential files. Nothing is stored or used for training, and you get near-frontier quality at up to 99% less per token than OpenAI or Anthropic.
We build custom agents for document review, research, drafting, analysis and client intake that work with the tools your team already uses. It’s built for law firms, financial firms and any organization that handles sensitive data.

⚡️US bans DeepSeek from fed systems
🚨 Our Report
The Department of Homeland Security has ordered all federal civilian agencies to stop purchasing DeepSeek products and remove existing Chinese AI technology from government IT systems, citing national security risks tied to potential data access by Chinese authorities.
🔓 Key Points
The ban extends beyond DeepSeek's own products to cover third-party services built using DeepSeek technology, though agencies can request exceptions for specific use cases.
DHS warned that sensitive information from U.S. government users could be accessible to Chinese authorities under Chinese law, prompting the removal order across federal systems.
China's Foreign Ministry pushed back, accusing Washington of "overstretching the concept of national security" and pledged to "resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises."
🔐 Relevance
For enterprise security teams, this order signals where vendor risk assessments are heading. Any product touching DeepSeek technology now carries federal compliance risk, which will likely influence procurement decisions beyond government contracts. Companies selling to federal agencies should audit their AI supply chains immediately, as third-party DeepSeek dependencies could disqualify them from future contracts.
THE DEPLOYMENT REPORT
Sponsored by Agentic Brain, see how they're automating deployment →
Docker's IT team was drowning in 600 monthly requests while juggling business-critical projects. Here's how they hit 68% automation.

Steal this: Pull your last 30 days of IT tickets and tag each as "requires judgment" or "repeatable process." If more than half fall into the repeatable category, you're burning senior engineering hours on automatable work. Start with your three highest-volume request types—app assignments, password resets, group membership—and map which can resolve without human review. That's your automation entry point.
Do you avoid using AI on your most sensitive documents?

Google and Amazon are both targeting Nvidia's grip on AI development by releasing PyTorch versions built for their own chips.
Google launched TorchTPU as an open-source project on Tuesday, letting developers run PyTorch apps on Google's TPUs with minimal code changes. Amazon made a similar move Monday with TorchNeuron for its Trainium chips. Both releases aim to make it easier for AI developers to port existing work away from Nvidia's hardware without rewriting their applications.
Google partnered with Meta, Hugging Face, Inferact, and RadixArk to ensure TorchTPU works with popular AI tools, and released a TPU agent suite to help developers migrate and troubleshoot. Amazon went further by submitting code to the main PyTorch project that decouples features from Nvidia's chips entirely.
Why it matters: PyTorch powers roughly 85% of AI apps, and its deep ties to Nvidia hardware have been a key moat for the chipmaker. These coordinated moves from two hyperscalers signal a serious push to erode that advantage.

THE MONEY
Two of the week's largest AI raises targeted operational efficiency over model development. As enterprises move past proof-of-concept deployments, capital is flowing to companies that embed AI into daily workflows and physical operations. The pattern: investors betting that stickiness, not capability, determines long-term value.
Deals to know:
Otter.ai (Growth, $320M) -- Meeting intelligence platform crossing $100M ARR, now expanding enterprise integrations and pre-meeting AI briefings. Investors: General Catalyst Customer Value Fund
Reliable Robotics (Series D extension, $115M at $1B+ valuation) -- Autonomous flight systems for existing aircraft, targeting FAA certification within 18-24 months. Investors: Nimble Partners, Gideon Strategic Partners, Silicon Valley Bank (debt)
Signal: Smart money sees AI's next phase isn't better models, it's deeper integration into enterprise ops and regulated industries. Companies that become infrastructure win; point solutions get displaced.
