TOGETHER WITH CUBE

Give your AI agent a single source of truth

Ask three AI tools how marketing spend is tracking against budget, and you'll get three different answers. None of them wrong. They just never agreed on what your data actually means.

Cube is the agentic analytics platform built on a semantic layer. One authorization over remote MCP, and your agent picks up a full set of tools to query, model, and build on your data:

  • Answers with your definitions. It reads your semantic model and runs Semantic SQL, so every metric matches what your business already agreed on.

  • Models what's missing. Need a new metric? It writes the measure in YAML and opens it for review. Nothing ships until a human signs off.

  • Builds the dashboard. Same conversation, governed charts, one shareable link.

One agent. One governed layer. No guesswork.

Amazon blocks Meta's Muse agent

🚨 Our Report

Amazon has blocked Meta's Muse shopping agent from accessing its platform, just two weeks after the AI assistant launched. The move highlights growing tension over who controls customer relationships as agentic commerce gains traction.

🔓 Key Points

  • Amazon said it did not authorize Muse to access customer accounts, scrape data, or process transactions, citing concerns over customer security and user experience.

  • Meta's Muse rose to the No. 1 spot for free app downloads on Apple's and Google's app stores, with Meta shares closing up over 11% on Monday.

  • Walmart is taking the opposite approach, partnering with Google and OpenAI to enable product discovery through their agentic shopping interfaces, even as it builds its own agent called Sparky.

🔐 Relevance

For enterprise leaders, this signals that AI-powered shopping is becoming a high-stakes battleground over customer ownership. McKinsey estimates U.S. retail revenue from AI-mediated purchases could reach $1 trillion by 2030. Retailers now face a strategic choice: open their platforms to third-party agents or lock them out to protect direct customer relationships. The answer will shape how brands and platforms compete in the agentic commerce era.

Map one campaign workflow end-to-end this week. Mark every handoff, every wait, every manual export. If you find a single person or system that blocks the entire flow, that's your bottleneck. Fix the dependency before shopping for new tools.

OpenAI forms math advisory group as its AI claims more than 100 solved problems

OpenAI announced a new independent advisory body at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton to give mathematicians more input on its research. The Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence will assess the significance of new results and coordinate their release, though it won't have authority to slow or redirect OpenAI's internal progress.

The move follows backlash from 25 Fields Medal-winning mathematicians who signed an open letter earlier this month, arguing that AI labs are threatening their intellectual work with rapid-fire solutions to famous problems. OpenAI also disclosed that its internal model has now resolved more than 100 open problems across most areas of mathematics, beyond the Navier-Stokes solution that sparked the controversy.

Why it matters: The group represents a new model for industry-academic coordination on frontier AI capabilities, but its limited scope signals OpenAI intends to maintain control over research pacing even as external pressure mounts.

THE MONEY

The Money: AI bets keep flowing through concentrated channels

SoftBank launched an $11 billion bond sale to fund its next $10 billion OpenAI tranche, potentially the largest non-financial corporate bond deal from Asia Pacific on record. Days later, Factory tripled to a $5 billion valuation just five months after its last round, pulling $200 million from Blackstone, Sequoia, and Khosla. The pattern is clear: capital is concentrating in a handful of AI names that can command premium terms on compressed timelines.

Deals to know:

  • SoftBank (Bond sale, $11B) — Replacing bridge financing with 3.5–7.5 year notes ahead of October OpenAI tranche. Will push aggregate OpenAI investment to $64.6B. Underwriters: Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank

  • Factory (Series D, $200M at $5B valuation) — AI coding agents for enterprise engineering teams. Third large round in under a year. Investors: Blackstone, Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, NEA

Signal: The AI funding market has bifurcated. Category leaders raise at will; everyone else waits. Access to capital now depends less on fundamentals than on being in the right cluster.
