Feds push Claude on Wall Street
🚨 Our Report
The White House is encouraging major US banks to test Anthropic's Claude Mythos model as a tool to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses. Treasury and the Federal Reserve met with Wall Street executives to press the case, and several large banks have already begun in-house evaluations. Anthropic has launched a pilot partner program alongside the push.
🔓 Key Points
The guidance positions Claude Mythos for defensive cybersecurity work, including red teaming, vulnerability discovery, and orchestration of remediation workflows using AI agents.
A Treasury spokesperson confirmed the administration is "continuing to engage on AI security in a thoughtful manner," framing the initiative as part of an AI security taskforce focused on critical financial infrastructure.
It's a rare instance of the US executive branch advocating for a specific vendor model for defensive audits, accelerating the normalization of large language models as enterprise security tools.
🔐 Relevance
For Anthropic, this is a major commercial and reputational milestone, deepening its enterprise security partnerships at a time when regulators demand demonstrable AI safety capabilities. For banks, the guidance lowers barriers to adopting generative AI for security audits but raises questions about model validation, data handling, and single-vendor dependency. The move reflects tighter public-private coordination on AI risk remediation for critical infrastructure.

THE BUSINESS BRIEFING: SALES (powered by Upscaile)
Sunergy Solutions (commercial solar, 21 employees) was stuck in reactive mode—strong at closing but weak on pipeline. Deal flow fluctuated, outbound efforts were manual and unsustainable, and inbox deliverability was declining. They implemented a localised, sector-specific outbound engine using Clay for enrichment and Smartlead for sequencing, targeting energy-intensive facilities across five Northeastern states with ROI-led messaging tied to state incentives.
Tool used: Clay + Smartlead -- automated targeting, list enrichment, and email sequencing with inbox rotation and deliverability management.
Result: $1.3M closed in 60 days. Consistent pipeline across all five states. Minimal founder involvement once live.
The lesson: Generic sustainability messaging loses to financial clarity. Sunergy's wins came from tight sector targeting (agriculture, manufacturing, cold storage) paired with specific state incentives and ROI comps—not broad "go green" appeals.
Steal this: Audit your outbound targeting this week. Replace broad lists with sector-specific segments where ROI is clear and measurable. Test one tight vertical before scaling wider.
TOGETHER WITH INCOGNI
Unknown number calling? It’s not random…
The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims.
The disturbing truth?
Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers. Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft.
That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor and follow up automatically, and continue to erase data as new risks appear.
Protect your identity before it’s too late. Use code AIREPORT for an exclusive 55% discount on unlimited removals.
THE POLICY CORNER
Washington and Oregon mandate crisis protocols and minor protections for AI chatbots; enforcement begins January 1, 2027.
Both states now require operators of consumer-facing AI companions to disclose artificial identity, implement suicide-risk detection, and block manipulative engagement with minors. Washington mandates disclosure every three hours for adults, every hour for minors. Oregon bars chatbots from simulating emotional distress when minors try to leave. Both laws apply to any company serving users in-state, regardless of HQ location.
Deadline: January 1, 2027. Oregon provides $1,000 statutory damages per violation plus actual damages. Washington enforces through Consumer Protection Act with treble damages potential.
Your move: Audit consumer chatbots this quarter—confirm they meet disclosure frequency, crisis referral protocols (must link 988 and youth support lines), and minor-safety controls. Oregon and Washington requirements exceed California's current standard.

The Money: AI chip sovereignty and agent security surge
Capital is flowing into two control layers of the AI stack: custom silicon and AI-native security. SiFive's $400M round at a $3.65B valuation signals investor appetite for open CPU alternatives as data center architectures diversify, while Cisco's reported $250M to $350M move for Astrix shows incumbents racing to secure AI agents before risk scales with adoption.
Deals to know:
SiFive (Growth round, $400M) — RISC-V chip designer expanding into AI data center CPUs compatible with Nvidia's CUDA and NVLink Fusion. Investors: Atreides Management (lead), Nvidia, Apollo Global Management, D1 Capital Partners, Point72 Turion, T. Rowe Price, Sutter Hill Ventures.
Astrix Security (Acquisition talks, $250M–$350M) — AI-focused cybersecurity platform monitoring and governing non-human identities and AI agents. Acquirer: Cisco. Investors: Menlo Ventures, Anthropic.
Signal: Investors are funding the plumbing of the AI economy, betting that control over compute architecture and AI-agent security will define margins and market power through the next enterprise adoption cycle.
