A widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage disrupted major platforms including Amazon, Alexa, Snapchat, Fortnite, and ChatGPT for several hours early Monday. The issue began in the US-EAST-1 region and was traced to an internal DNS failure within AWSβs EC2 network. Amazon confirmed recovery steps were applied, and most services have since stabilized.
